More special openings in 2027

The museum also lists these openings from 9:30 to 18:30: from Thursday 25 to Monday 29 March 2027 (the Easter days), Sunday 25 April, Saturday 1 May and Wednesday 2 June 2027. We could not confirm the timetable for summer 2027 or for holiday Mondays that are not on the list, so check the official site before you plan.

Works and a closed section (notice of 24 October 2026)

On 24 October 2026 the museum said that the section Basic Chemistry was temporarily closed to the public, and that renovation works were under way with possible noise in some rooms. We did not find a reopening date for the section.

How long to allow

The pages we read do not give a recommended length for the visit. The museum publishes downloadable floor plans, a guide to 20 objects and routes for children aged 3 to 5 and 6 to 8.

Before you go

Photos and videos are allowed for amateur use, without flash and without a tripod. Animals are not allowed, except guide dogs and support dogs in pet therapy. Food can be eaten in the equipped areas: a picnic area on level M0 of the Monumental Building and two outdoor areas. A temporary bar in the Aeronaval Pavilion is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 17:00.

The museum is accessible with lifts, stair lifts and automatic doors. The Falck Room and the inside of the Toti are the only spaces that are not accessible. Free wifi is available with registration.

Reductions and free entry

The museum lists a reduced rate for ages 3 to 26, over 75 and groups of 10 or more, and a school rate for students and their accompanying teacher with a reservation. Entry is free under 3 and, with an ID document, for people with disabilities and one companion, tour guides, ICOM and ICCROM members, holders of the Abbonamento Musei Lombardia and of the YesMilano City Pass, and a few other categories listed by the museum. The Toti is not sold separately from the museum entry. We could not read the refund and date-change rules of the museum’s own ticket. Read on 24 October 2026.
