Science and Technology Museum: frequently asked questions
Who gets reduced or free entry?
The museum lists a reduced rate for ages 3 to 26 (with a document), over 75 and groups of 10 or more; under 3 enter free. Free entry with an ID document also applies to holders of the YesMilano City Pass and the Abbonamento Musei Lombardia, among other categories (museum’s website, read on 24 October 2026).
What does the entry ticket on this site include?
According to the listing: one entry to the museum for a date you choose, access to the temporary exhibition depending on availability, a voucher on your smartphone, to be exchanged at the ticket office for a paper ticket, and cancellation up to 23:59 the day before the visit. The Toti is not listed among what is included. Read the terms of what you buy.
Do I need to book?
At weekends, yes in practice: the museum says that, because of the crowds, entry is not guaranteed to visitors who have not bought a ticket online with a date and time. On weekdays we found no booking rule.
Is the Toti submarine included?
No. It needs an extra ticket and requires a museum entry ticket. It is open only on weekends and public holidays from 15 September 2026, with compulsory online booking, for ages 6 and up (children under 14 only with an adult who holds a ticket for the visit on board), and not to wheelchair users. The submarine can be seen from outside without the extra ticket.
What about bags and accessibility?
Large luggage and scooters are not allowed: use the lockers at the entrance. The museum is accessible except for the Falck Room and the inside of the Toti.
